4th Annual Silver Creek Turkey Trot 5K walk/run

Enjoy running or walking on our cart paths that wind through the tranquility and beautiful mountain views of the Silver Creek golf course. The race may be only 3.1 miles long, but don’t be fooled: The hills with 400ft gain and loss will make you earn your Thanksgiving feast!

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, all proceeds from the run will benefit the Meeting Place Mission. This 100% self-funded program has a long history of helping local people escape homelessness through providing emergency shelter, transitional housing, and rapid rehousing along with continual case management to ensure success. Over the past 7 years the success rate of people housed has been greater than 95%. Once families or individuals complete the programs at the Meeting Place Mission, they become successful contributing members of the community. The Mission’s goal is to give everyone willing to put in the work a successful opportunity for permanent housing.

Your entry includes a race T-shirt.

Medals will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each gender and age division.

This event will be professionally chip-timed by GateCity Race Timing! Results will be posted live as participants cross the finish line. Results will be “official” once the event is over.

Packet Pick-Up

***EARLY PACKET PICK UP IS CANCELED*** All packets must be picked up on race morning. My apologies for any inconvenience this causes.

Race day packet pick-up and registration will also be available. You must pick up your packet or register no later than 8:30am on race day. We will not be able to guarantee that shirts will be available at that time.

Cancellations and Refunds

Above all else, we are striving to make this event as safe as it can possibly be for all our participants, volunteers, and staff. If you’re feeling unwell (or uncomfortable participating), we want you to be able to stay home and stay safe without feeling like you’re losing out. In order to make that happen, we are offering flexible options so participants can make responsible decisions based on their health.

Here are our options for registered participants who can’t make it to the race:

TRANSFER TO ANOTHER PARTICIPANT: You can transfer your registration to another participant for a $10 fee before November 22nd at midnight.

RUN YOUR OWN VIRTUAL RACE: Run/walk a 5K at your convenience. You still get your shirt and know that you contributed to a good cause!

REFUNDS: Due to the expenses we are incurring to organize this race, we are unfortunately unable to give refunds.

CANCELLATION: If we have to cancel the event for any reason, all registrations will automatically be converted to a virtual event. You will absolutely still receive your T-shirt.
