March 28-29: Spring 2-Person Match Play Tournament
Two-person match-play Tournament
Teams can be two women, two men or mixed.
Players will play their normal tees.
Format: Like the member/guest. 5 nine-hole matches. 
6 teams per flight. Flights are based on combined team handicap.
Play one 9-hole match against each team in your flight.
First 48 teams are in. Next 6 are alternates
Entry Fee: 
$200 for Non-members, $150 for members (includes cart if needed).
Includes: 
  • 18 holes on Friday, 27 holes on Saturday.
  • Food after round on Saturday.
  • Prizes
GHIN required.
Friday 1 PM Start.
Saturday: 9 AM Start.

This event is organized in collaboration with the Silver Creek Players’ Association for the purpose of raising funds to build a deck for outdoor seating at Papa’s Grill.
April 9: Masters Week Par-3 Tournament

It’s a 9-hole tournament, and the holes are played from 60 yards up to around 140 yards.

Always a fun tournament with closest to the pin on every hole.

Following the event we will serve some Augusta favorites, pimento cheese sandwiches, BBQ sandwiches, cold beer and lemonade.

Individual sign-up. $60/player (members $35+cart)

As always, call the pro-shop to register: 828-584-6911. This event always fills up, so sign up early to guarantee yourself a spot!

April 12-13: The Bubba

Another fan favorite, this 2-person Captain’s Choice comes with a twist: Each player hits one tee shot. If your drive is selected you will hit one 2nd shot. If your tee shot is not selected you will hit two shots. The Bubba (extra shot) will rotate from there.

Basically, it is a three-person Captain’s Choice except for the tee shot.

Burgers, chips & drinks following 2nd round

Entry fee $300/team (members $100+cart /team)

Saturday: Tee times starting at 11am
Sunday: 10am Shotgun start

April 27: Adult-Junior Tournament

Nothing beats a little friendly competition when it comes to family fun – especially when you’re on the same team!

Bring your Junior (8 years old through high school) out for a fun 9-hole 2-person scramble! We will have age-appropriate tees. Trophies for gross and net winners.

5pm shotgun. Food after the round.

July 19: Drive, Chip & Putt

Online Registration

Drive, Chip and Putt is open to boys and girls ages 7-15. Boys and girls will compete in separate divisions in four age categories: 7-9 years old; 10-11 years old; 12-13 years old; and 14-15 years old.

Competition Overview

  • Each participant will compete in all three skills (Drive, Chip and Putt).
  • Participants will attempt three shots per skill, for a total of nine shots. Participants accumulate points per shot in all three skills.
  • The champion in each individual skill competition will be determined by the participant with the most points accumulated in that particular skill.
  • The overall champion in each age category will be determined by the participant with the most points accumulated between all three skills.

Drive Skill

  • Each participant will attempt three drives from the same teeing area.
  • All drives will be played to a 40-yard wide grid and the ball must come to rest in the grid to score points.

Chip Skill

  • Each participant will attempt three chips from the same location approximately 10-15 yards from the hole.
  • All chips will be measured and scored from the center of the hole with lines clearly marking the scoring rings.

Putt Skill

  • Each participant will attempt three total putts, with one attempt from each of the following distances: 6’, 15’ and 30’.
  • All putts will be measured and scored from the center of the hole with lines clearly marking the scoring rings.

Awards

  • Prizes will be awarded to individual skill champions as well as overall champions for boys and girls in each age category.

Tee Times and Additional Information

  • Tee times and any additional information needed for the qualifier will be shared via email communication after the close of registration.
