We are excited to continue the tradition of supporting our wonderful community for the fourth year. We invite you to participate and help promote the health and wellbeing of your fellow Burke County citizens, as well as support this year’s partner program!

 

This year, all proceeds from the run will benefit the Meeting Place Mission. This 100% self-funded program has a long history of helping local people escape homelessness through providing emergency shelter, transitional housing, and rapid rehousing along with continual case management to ensure success. Over the past 7 years the success rate of people housed has been greater than 95%. Once families or individuals complete the programs at the Meeting Place Mission, they become successful contributing members of the community. The Mission’s goal is to give everyone willing to put in the work a successful opportunity for permanent housing.

 

This is where you come in. The importance of sponsors for the success of events like the Turkey Trot cannot be over-stated – the event simply would not happen without wonderful, committed sponsors!  Sponsorships help cover the costs of the race, including participation medals, event t-shirts, swag, door prizes, water/aid stations, and post-race food. Most importantly, sponsor support allows for a larger portion of the event proceeds to benefit the Meeting Place Mission by helping to offset the costs of the race.

 

The following levels of sponsorships are available:

  1. Transformation Sponsor, $1000 – Provide help with move-in deposits, purchasing beds and linens, and ensuring that deep breath that comes with ‘being home’.
  • Opportunity to set up a booth or tent at the event.
  • Your logo featured in prime position on race t-shirts, race website and/or electronic race communication/emails as well as on our social media outlets (Facebook and Instagram).
  • Opportunity to place promotional materials into runner bags.
  • 5 complementary race entries
  • You will be recognized during the event on the sponsor recognition board as well as over the PA system during pre-race announcements and during the awards and recognition ceremony.
  • A printable certificate of recognition for you to hang up in your business

 

  1. Breakthrough Sponsor, $500 – Provide much needed funding for fresh foods, cleaning supplies, and small household needs for families newly moved into independent housing.
  • Sponsor a road crossing: We will provide a sign saying “this crossing sponsored by” and your logo prominently displayed at one of the road crossings on the race course.
  • Your logo featured on race t-shirts, race website and/or electronic race communication/emails as well as on our social media outlets (Facebook and Instagram).
  • Opportunity to place promotional materials into runner bags.
  • 3 complementary race entries
  • You will be recognized during the event on the sponsor recognition board.
  • A printable certificate of recognition for you to hang up in your business

 

  1. Support Sponsor, $150 – Provide the equivalent of more than a week-long stay in the shelter. Enough time to recognize the importance of working to end homelessness.
  • Your logo on race t-shirts, race website and/or electronic race communication/emails as well as on our social media outlets (Facebook and Instagram).
  • Opportunity to place promotional materials into runner bags.
  • You will be recognized during the event on the sponsor recognition board.
  • Supply up to two race day volunteers and receive one complementary race entry per volunteer.
  • A printable certificate of recognition for you to hang up in your business

​We also welcome in-kind sponsorships, and are happy to talk with you in detail about what those opportunities may look like. Or if none of these options fit your needs, we will gladly find one that does.

 

Additional Details & Next Steps
In order to ensure that sponsors are featured on the race t-shirts and across race registration and promotional materials, sponsorship commitments for the Turkey Trot must be secured by no later than October 22, 2023.  Once you email us confirming your interest in being a sponsor, we will email you an invoice. Once the invoice is paid and a digital logo file received, we will be able to promote your sponsorship of the event on social media outlets. After the race has concluded, we will send you an update on the outcome of the event and the money we were able to collect for the Meeting Place Mission.
