The weather was hot, and so was the competition!
The team of Daniel Honeycutt and Aaron Vanderpool won the tournament by four shots with impressive scores of 67-65 for a two-day total of 132, 12 under par. The team of Byron Bailey and David Simpson finished with a flurry going 3 under par on the final two holes to catch the team of Steve Jetter and Rob Scott and share the runner-up honors at 8-under par, 136.
A big winner on day one was the team of new members Barry Rand and Terry Richardson as they cashed in on 1 of the two skins for $290 on hole #3. Terry also got two closest to the pins over the weekend on holes #3 and #13.
The best part of the weekend was the friendly competition, the camaraderie and seeing more of the members get better acquainted with one another. Our next major member only event will be the Club Championship on August 9 and 10.
