The second annual Silver Creek Turkey Trot is in the books, and what a great day it was! After last year’s whiteout we were relieved to wake up to a gorgeous, clear day this time around.
Thanks to the support of our sponsors and volunteers, and the good spirits of all the participants, everything went off without a hitch, and after only 20:43.08 we had a new course record set by Evan Avery. Ehrin Irvin then crushed last year’s female best time with 23:33.7, which means that a new bar has been set for next year!
Overall we had a strong showing with 110 walkers and runners spanning seven decades completing the challenging course. You all climbed and descended the equivalent of 40 flights of stairs, and truly earned your Thanksgiving feast! And not only that, you also helped raise $4500 for Burke Rescue, which will be very much appreciated and contribute to making sure that the next time someone calls for help, the Squad will be there for you.
You can find and download pictures from the event here, and watch a brief 1:30 min video here! Full age group results are below.
Thanks again, and we hope to see you again next year!
