As predicted, the two man alternate shot Joy’s of January event was the toughest of the season.
The average team score was over 80. However, there is always one team that forgets how tough the format is and how cool the weather is. This event was no different.
The team of Brandon Godfrey and Rick Condrey blitzed the field with an amazing score of two under par 70. In a distant 2nd place with a still respectful score of 77 was the team of Daniel Honeycutt and Aaron Vanderpool.
This was our first year of the Joy’s of January event and it won’t be the last. Next year we will tweak a few things and maybe go with team points and put everyone in one flight so the purse will be a little better.
